The Goat Conspiracy Health & Safety Policies
Before You Arrive
Please do not attend Camp if your camper is experiencing or exhibiting signs of illness.
Please inform Camp staff of any allergies or medical conditions BEORE your camper’s first day.
Much of Camp will be held out in nature. Because of this, we recommend that your camper apply sunscreen and insect repellent before arriving, as well as carrying adequate amounts of both to reapply throughout the day. While we will have some on hand, we cannot guarantee an adequate supply for all campers.
Guardians will be informed of how the Camp will communicate with them prior to the start of Camp, so expectations are clear, and so guardians will know how to reach their camper if necessary.
For the safety of staff, campers, and residents, campers will not be allowed to participate in certain activities if they do not have appropriate attire. Please refer to the “Attire” section of the Camp page on the website, or email us at info@thegoatconspiracy.org. Additionally if there are any special considerations or clothing/gear needed for a particular day, all households will be informed in advance.
Please do not bring pets or other animals onto the Sanctuary property, EVEN JUST FOR DROP OFF/PICK UP. This helps to keep our residents safe and minimizes the possibility of any animal to animal transmission of zoonotic diseases.
While At Camp
Camp staff will have undergone a background check and training for best practices and safety at the Sanctuary.
Camp staff, like campers, will be required to stay home and not attend camp if they are unwell.
Staff and campers will be required to periodically wash their hands before and after activities.
Sanctuary staff monitor and routinely complete health checks on all our residents to guard against risk of exposure to sick or injured animals.
For the well-being of staff, visitors, and residents, campers will be asked to leave camp if they are behaving in an unsafe or inappropriate manner with any people or animals.
Despite the very low likelihood of any zoonotic disease in our animals that could pose a thread to humans, if we feel there is any risk of this happening, certain areas of the Sanctuary will be off limits to the public and any possibly exposed individuals will be immediately notified.
